A Day in Toorak

Right behind our house, is a kindergarden... many days I can hear the kids having fun at recess... then past that is a park and then the Toorak Primary (elementary) pictured at right. This lovely old building was built in 1890. The kids here mostly go to year-round school and have several 2 week breaks during the year and a 6 week break the last 2 weeks in December and all of January. Then in February is when they start back and promote grades.
Today, I passed by this school 6 times, as I made 3 separate trips north on our road (Canterbury) up to the main road (Toorak Road). Luckily, I was walking and not wasting petrol... just burning calories! It is less than a 10-minute walk up to Toorak road, where I have easy access to the Post Office, Bank & grocery store, among other things... I have been to the Post Office twice and the bank once, so hopefully I won't have to walk back up again today!

It's so odd to be somebody who's home all day and sees the kids going to and from school. I see all our public (private) school students in their special uniforms all day long.
We see 4 school buses pass by everyday -- ironically, the bus stop is on our corner (it's ironic because our kids don't go to school). Remember, it's nice to be your own boss. Although, my bosses are 9, almost 7, and 3 -- oh, yeah, and 44!
MK, I have a feeling you're really the boss of them. My bosses just act like they are 9, 7, and 3.
