Thursday's Excitement

Today it has been raining off and on. I always enjoy how shiny our little yards seem to be after a rain. The picture on the left is taken from the 2nd bedroom upstairs and looks out on our little yard... there is a box built in the fence in the upper left corner where our mail is delivered.

The picture below is the other yard taken through the dirty window that makes up the wall in our living room. No, we aren't much for gardening and yard upkeep, despite my maiden name. :)

This final photo is of a place that is near and dear to my heart... wait... I mean where I spend a lot of time. :) You can see the washer on bottom and the upside-down dryer on top (not really sure why it is upside-down, but it seems to work fine). Then you can also see some laundry drying and waiting to be ironed. Isn't this an exciting blog? :)

Why didn't you turn the water on in the cute little fountain?

The washer and dryer is the same unit in the UK. It goes straight from spinning to tumbling. It's the weirdest thing, but it's really convenient. (They also, oddly, put them in the kitchen. I have a load of darks in now).

I don't know why these UK washer/dryer units haven't swept the world. Maybe they're really expensive.
