Hakuna Matata...
This afternoon, we headed to the city for lunch and a show. We parked and walked up Collins Street to this lovely area...We had lunch in Brunetti's... the fun shaped building you see in the back middle... This is not the original Brunetti's location. The original is huge and famous and loaded with yummy pastries.
We each had a piece of gourmet pizza... mine had pototoes & sundried tomatoes and olives that I picked off. :)
Then I sat on the wooden wombat for a photo op.
After lunch, we headed back on Collins Street to the Regent Theatre where The Lion King has been playing for almost a year. This musical from the movie was excellent! We really enjoyed it. The costumes and sets were impressive, as were the performances of the characters. There were giraffes that were people with stilts at their feet and hands. The music had us singing all the way home. It was a great experience, made even better by the fact that we got four tickets at an auction fundraiser, but since we only needed two, we sold the other two on ebay for just a smidge more than we bought all four for... so free show for us! :D
