Poffertjes - Also Known as Dutch Pancakes

I have seen these little poffertjes (dutch pancakes) in shops and various places while I have been in Australia... I have drooled over them each time, but hadn't tried them until I was in Sydney (Darling Harbour) with Stephen & Nicole. I think I was fascinated partly because I like things in miniature... and what tasty little things to have in miniature! They are similar to pancakes and have the same great taste, but with a very fluffy texture. I also was fascinated with the griddle (above) used to make them. This particular shop also would add toppings such as chocolate, caramel, maple syrup, jam, or ice cream, but we decided to stick with the traditional butter and icing (powdered) sugar. I will have problems passing these delicious minis next time I see them! :D
